Vegan Bolognese Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves chopped
  • 1 celery stalk chopped
  • 1 carrot chopped
  • 1 lb vegan ground beef
  • 1 29-ounce can of crushed tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup Italian parsley chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves chopped
  • salt and black pepper
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated vegan parmesan

Instructions
 

  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil. Next, add the onion and garlic and saute over medium heat until the onions are soft, about 8 minutes. Next, add the celery and carrot and saute for 5 minutes.
  • Increase heat to medium and add the vegan ground beef. Stir frequently, add the tomatoes, parsley, and basil, and simmer for 30 minutes. Finish bolognese grated vegan parmesan.
  • Serve over pasta of choice.
